Lindsay's All-Tournament performance highlights Barton Men's Bowling at Ottawa University
Returning to duel action, freshman Torrey Lindsay led the Barton Community College men's bowling team Thursday afternoon securing the lone placing in its' dual match at Ottawa University.
Competing over three individual games, the Cougars "B" entry team posted a fourth-place finish (2,724) pins while the "A" squad finished with the fifth best score (2,603). While the duel served as a scrimmage for Ottawa, the hosts "A" squad led the six-team field with a best (3,091) pins destroyed to edge out the Braves "B" squad's (2,989).
Lindsay posted the fourth best three game total 640 in the 31-man field as the freshman overcame his lowest game score 177 in the opener, with the teams' highest round 269 in the middle game before concluding with a third game 194.
Kamron Stude followed Lindsay on the "B" squad finishing nine spots back in 13th achieving the teams second highest single game score 234 in the opener with scores of 186 and 155 in his final two games for a total 575.
Leading the "A" entered team was Carter Lambeth's trio scores of 172, 168, and 223 for a 15th top output 563, with teammate Chris O'Connor falling three spots back and five pins behind at 558.
The Cougars will have the weekend off before their next match comes closer to home next weekend at the tier-1 Mid-States Championships held in Wichita, KS that features perennial NCAA Division I, Division II and NAIA programs.
