The Barton Community College men's bowling team posted its' highest finish of the season with a fifth place finish this past weekend at the Bronco Bash held in Hastings, NE.

Concluding five team games on Saturday and 20 Baker games on Sunday, Barton recorded a weekend total of 7,996 pins while Ottawa University claimed the team title turning in a 8,642 pinfall edging out the 10-team field with Waldorf University finishing runner-up with an 8,490 output. 

Fielding a varsity and junior varsity team, seven different Cougars finished with a game north of the 200-mark. Alec Elskamp led nine other Cougars with a five-game total of 935 earning a 19th place finish in the 84 participant field.

Conner Eastman tallied the top game score for the Cougars with an opening game score of 228 on his way to a 24th overall finish and total of 909. Aiden Cain fell four spots back of Eastman knocking down 884 pins.

Andrew Harden scored the highest placing on the varsity team with a 30th place outing tipping over 878 pins while Dylan Depperschmidt fell two pins and two spots back with an 876 total. Griffin Peterson and Bryce Moore finished 33rd and 36th with scores of 869 and 853 respectfully.

Barton will have one final tune up at this weekend's SWIBC Championships held at the Fire Lake Lanes in Shawnee, OK before traveling to the NJCAA National Championships held March 3rd-5th in Lansing, MI.
