Bio

Matt Hundley begins his fourth season as an assistant for Barton.   During his previous three seasons, Hundley has helped guide the Cougars to a 73-25 record including two trips to the Region VI Final Four, most recently falling in the Region VI Championship game.

Prior to Barton, Hundley spent 4 seasons at Topeka West High School, with the best of the seasons coming in his final year falling in the Class 5A State Championship game.  For his team's efforts, Hundley was tabbed City Co-Coach of the Year by the Topeka Capital-Journal. 

Prior to his 4 years in Topeka, Hundley was the coach at Lyndon High School for two seasons and started his coaching career fresh out of college as a student assistant and graduate assistant for Bob Chipman at Washburn University for two seasons. He played collegiately at Washburn helping the Topeka school to a runner-up finish at the 2001 NCAA Division II National Championships. The Ichabods won the MIAA that year as well. 

Hundley was part of a state champion in basketball at Bern High School in 1997 as well as a member of the 1998 state champion track team at Bern.
