Elijah Ford of the Barton Community College men's basketball team has been named week eight KJCCC Men's Division I Basketball Player of the Week.

Returning to action from a seven game absence due to injury, Ford was a monster in his twenty-eight minutes on the court leading Barton to its largest win over Butler Community College since the 2008 season with an 89-67 victory. The sophomore from Newark, New Jersey, matched his season high twenty-two points in connecting on 10-of-12 shots while grabbing half of his ten rebounds on the offensive glass in posting his first double-double of the year.

The victory improved Barton's record to 3-2 in Jayhawk play and 12-2 on the season headed into Wednesday's road trip to Concordia for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off at Cloud County Community College (4-2, 10-5).
