The Barton Community College men's basketball team lost 77-75 Friday night at the Barton Gym as the Mavericks of Northwest Kansas Technical College roared back for the victory in the opening night of the Best Western Booster Club Classic Thanksgiving Classic.   Trailing by nine at the break the Mavericks outscored the Cougars 41-30 in the final twenty minutes to defeat Barton for the first time and snapped the Cougars' six game win streak.  The loss drops Barton to 7-3 on the season while Northwest Tech improves to 8-4.   The Cougars will wrap up play in the Classic with a 7:30 p.m. contest versus Brown Mackie College while the Mavericks will play Clarendon College in the 3:00 p.m. game.

In the earlier men's matchup, the Bulldogs of Clarendon used a strong first half then held off Brown Mackie for a 94-84 victory.
