Barton men knock off No. 6 Butler 86-78
The Barton Community College men's basketball team knocked off No. 6 Butler Community College 86-78 Monday night at the Barton Gym. Having lost to the Grizzlies by two in El Dorado earlier this season, the Cougars built a sixteen point second half lead then held off a late rally for the win. The victory moves the Cougars one game behind the Grizzlies improving to 9-3 in the Jayhawk West and 21-5 on the season while dropping Butler to 9-2 and 23-2 overall. Barton will wrap up its current three-game five-day stretch with another big conference matchup on Wednesday as the Cougars travel to No. 17 ranked Hutchinson Community College. Looking for revenge on the Cougars from the 105-90 defeat at the Barton Gym, Hutchinson (7-4, 20-5) trails Barton in the conference standings and is coming off a 76-71 overtime loss at Butler Saturday night. Tip-off time in the Hutchinson Sports Arena set for 7:30 p.m.

Kenny Enoch's career high twenty-eight point performance paced four Cougars in double-figures. The transfer sophomore knocked down a 6-of-11 behind the arc and 6-of-8 from the charity stripe and grabbed a team tying seven rebounds. Current two-time reigning KJCCC player of the week Ahmad Walker, who was bottled up by the Grizzly defense most of the night, finished with seventeen points and just missed his eighth double-double of the season dishing out nine assists. Tying Enoch for team high rebound honors, Jalin Barnes added four assists to go along with his fourteen points while Eddie Hunt came up one shy of a new career high finishing with twelve points.
Jacolby Harris's 13-of-14 from the charity stripe led the way to a twenty-one point night as four Grizzlies reached the double-figure mark. Lamar Wofford put up a double-double fifteen points and eleven rebounds, Chris Howell came off the bench for eleven, and Kyle Steward finished with ten.
