Largest margin of victory since 2007, Cougars race to 116-41 over Sterling College JV
It didn’t take the Barton Community College men's basketball team long to heat up Tuesday as the Cougars steamrolled to a 116-41 win at the Barton Gym over the Sterling College Junior Varsity. The Cougars extended a twenty-six point halftime lead by outscoring the Warriors by forty-nine in second half play in cruising to the win. The seventy-five point margin also marked the largest since the Cougars defeated Central Christian junior varsity by eighty points to open up the 2007 season 122-42. Barton will travel to Hesston College this Friday for an 8:00 p.m. contest at Hesston’s Yost Center.

All thirteen Barton players scored in the contest as Kenny Enoch led five players in double figures with twenty-two including 4-of-7 beyond the arc. Scoring the Cougars first eight points Ahmad Walker finished with sixteen with a team high six assists while Tyron Hamby came off the bench to add fifteen. Also coming off the bench to reach double figures were the long range assassins Cody Holthaus and Jordan Windholz as the pair combined for 6-of-10 from long range to finish with twelve and eleven points respectively. Eddie Hunt's eight boards led a 50-26 rebound edge for the Cougars including twenty coming off the offensive glass.
Cory Noll was the lone Warrior to reach double figures scoring thirteen points while Joe Dower grabbed a team high six rebounds.
