No. 11 Cougars end first semester with 12-0 record

The Cougars jumped out to a 20-6 lead with 11:30 to play in the first half against Midland then closed with a 19-9 run to lead at intermission 39-15. After a Raheem Johnson jumper increased Barton's lead to twenty-six early in the second half, Midland got hot from behind the arc connecting on 7-of-11 from long distance to cut the lead to 55-44 with nine minutes to play. The Cougars responded with aggressive play from both the offensive and defensive ends to go on a 12-0 run put the game away and earn their twelfth victory of the season.

Cumberbatch's nineteen points led a relative balanced scoring attack as only two other Cougars would reach double figures in scoring. Johnson and Dominique Wilson each contributed ten points while Wilson led the Cougars in rebounding with eight. Parker led Barton in assists dishing out nine while Cumberbatch led the Cougars in steals with five while Parker recorded four thefts.
