Freshman season at Barton

Jon played in 14 games his freshman season for the Cougars, averaging 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds. He had a season-high 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists against the Sterling JV. 

High School

Jon attended Great Bend High School where he started for 2 years and earned a letter for 3. During his senior campaign, he scored 8.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, along with hitting 57% from the field, 78% for free throws, and 100% from three point range. Jon helped Great Bend to back-to-back conference and state titles in 2005 and 2006, while earning All-State Academic honors. Jon also lettered in football and tennis at Great Bend High School.
