High School/Club

From Garden City Kansas Joel attended Lakin High School. While there he averaged 20 points and 3 assists per game. As a three-year starter and three-year letterman, Joel had a 35 percent field goal average, shot 80 percent from the free throw line and 40 percent from the 3-point line. Hannagan received all Conference nominations his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He also received an Honorable mention All State nomination, All League Honors, and an Honorable mention All League nomination.
