A freshman from McPherson, Bruner averaged 18 points, dished out 5 assists, grabbed 3 boards his senior year. As a junior he averaged 15 points per game, 2 assists and 3 rebounds per game. A two-year letter winner and starter, Aubrey helped McPherson High become Ark Valley League Champions, Sub-State Champions, and State Champions. He received honors for AVL MVP, Mr. Basketball, and was an All State team selection. Bruner also got the nod for All Class 5A, and 5A all-state Wichita, Capital, Salina and Hutchinson News.
