Barton rallies for overtime win
The Barton County Community College men's basketball did not make things easy during the second day of the Ozark Medical Center Tipoff Classic, but the Cougars did get the job done. Barton, trailing by as many as 17 points in the contest, rallied for a 91-83 overtime win over host Southwest Missouri State-West Plains.
Barton rallies for overtime win In the other opening round contest, Lee College rolled Motlow College (Tenn.), 92-60. Highlights Barton whittled away at the lead until freshman Rodney Epperson drained a trey and freshman Justin Rose converted a big steal into a basket to tie the game at 75-all with less than one minute to play. In the overtime, Barton scored the first five points and never trailed in the contest. Six Cougars reached doubled figures led by Epperson and sophomore guard Randy Pulley with 18 each.
