Barton County set to play three in Texas
The Barton County Community College men's basketball team will play three games this weekend, starting Thursday afternoon. The slate for the Midland College Classic in Midland, Texas was finally set, with the original tournament format becoming a classic format. The Cougars will play three teams from Texas.

Barton will start the classic Thursday afternoon against Grayson College at 3:30 p.m. The Cougars will face Odessa College Friday at 5:45 p.m. then conclude the classic Saturday night in an 8 p.m. tip against host Midland College.

The No. 1 ranked Cougars (7-0) have already played Grayson College, winning 72-59 during the Pepsi Classic at Barton County. That is the second closest contest of the season for Barton. Grayson is 4-3 on the season with losses to the Cougars, Panola (Texas) and Paris (Texas).

Odessa was ranked No. 18 in the preseason poll -- the latest NJCAA Poll released. The Wranglers are 4-2 this season with losses to Lee College and Ranger College. The loss to Lee was a 116-110 shoot-out in Odessa. Barton has handed Lee its only two losses this season.

Midland is 4-2 this year with a loss to Lee College as well.

Radio
The Cougars broadcasts will be on two different radio stations over the weekend. Thursday's contest can be heard on the flagship station KVGB FM 104.3. Friday's game will be heard on the AM station 1590 due to a conflict with the Kansas State High School football playoffs. Saturday's game can again be heard on FM 104.3.
