Cougars fall to Colby
The Barton County Community College men's basketball team saw it's 10 game winning streak come to an end at the Community Building in Colby Saturday night, falling to Trojans, 93-79.

The loss drops the No. 3 ranked Cougars to 23-3 overall and 10-2 in the West while Colby improves to 21-5 and 9-4.

Highlights
The Cougars played short-handed on the night with 5 players, including 3 starters, missing the contest. With only 7 players suited, the Cougars kept pace the Trojans the entire first half, trailing just 34-32 following a 3-pointer at the buzzer from sophomore Richard Chavez.

But a 12-0 run midway through the 2nd half gave Colby a double-digit lead it did not relinquish. Barton did get the game to 10 points late. The Trojans dominated the backboards, outrebounding Barton County 51-34, including 20 offensive rebounds.

The Cougars were paced by a career-high 27 from sophomore point guard Randy Pulley, who played the entire 40 minutes. Nouha Diakite added 16 points and Stan King 15. Colby was led by Eric Fowlkes with 28.
