Fields to play for New Hampshire Elisha Field is the third Cougar to sign to play for an NCAA Division I team next season, inking a letter-of-intent to play for New Hampshire University next season. New Hampshire is a member of the American East Conference. Last season for the Cougars, Fields played in 30 of the team's 32 games, missing two due to an ankle injury. The Junction City native averaged six points and five rebounds a contest for the Cougars. He scored a season high of 17 against Pratt in the final home regular-season game of the year. The 6-5 forward scored a career high his freshman season when he poured in 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against New Mexico Military. That was one of two double-doubles Fields posted during his career at Barton County. As a freshman for the Cougars, Fields scored seven points a game and grabbed five rebounds. He played a pivotal role for the Cougars in their post season run to a 7th place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. At the NJCAA tournament, Fields scored 13 points in the 7th place contest against Northwest Mississippi and 16 in an opening round loss eventual National Champion Wabash Valley in the first round -- the only loss for the Cougars in the post season that year. New Hampshire finished 11-17 last season, going 8-8 in the American East, a conference won by Boston University.
