Barton eSports clinches three postseason berths; Rainbow 6 Siege begins title defense Tuesday #GoBarton

With the postseason push intensifying, the Barton Community College eSports squad delivered in a big way during week seven action scoring three playoff berths in its' 6-4 record.

Sitting at 47-25 overall with the regular season entering the final two weeks, the Cougars will hunt for their eighth straight winning week while also in pursing five undefeated perfect records. The Barton gamers will open the 10-matches on the docket Monday with the Rainbow 6 Siege squad entering its' weeklong postseason play on Tuesday.

Individually, Madden 22 player Davon Morris and NBA2K player Anthony Twiggs remained perfect while securing postseason berths with the Rainbow 6 Siege and Call of Duty Gunfight 2v2 of Adam Hardin and Kindric Castro sustaining their unbeaten seasons.

Already locking its' postseason spot two weeks ago, the Rainbow 6 Siege group capped a perfect 6-0 regular season on Tuesday routing Crowder College in straight maps. Sitting at 10-0 in maps played this season, the five pack will defend their fall national championship against the eighth-seeded Hocking College with the semifinals and championship scheduled for Thursday and Friday evenings.

Locking a spot into the Madden NJCAAE postseason for the fourth straight time, Morris sustained his perfect 7-0 season mark with a 2-0 thrashing over Jefferson State Community College. Holding a 14-0 game winning streak, the sophomore will seek two more in Tuesday's action against Camden County College.

Also undefeated at 6-0, Madden 22 player Chance Costello benefitted the most securing a postseason berth during his bye week. Costello will continue his push for a top seed on Tuesday against Trinidad State College.

In NBA2K, Twiggs clinched his spot in the postseason for the second straight year cruising past Central Wyoming College 2-0 improving to 8-0 on the season. The sophomore will look to continue the pursuit for the top seed heading into Friday's matchup against Catawba Valley Community College.

COD: Cold War Gunfight duo's Hardin and Kindric fashioned their seventh straight 3-0 victory of the year over Hudson Valley Community College. The pair will put its' 7-0 record on the line in hopes of avenging its' national championship loss back in the fall taking on Navarro College.

Rocket League laid to rest its' three match skid sweeping Crowder College 3-0 to pull a game back of .500 at 3-4 overall with two weeks remaining on their schedule.

The Cougars other lone victory came in NBA2K with Kaleb Lininger (5-1) making it five straight wins defeating Bryant & Stratton College (WI) 2-0.

Madden's Caleb Nokleby (3-4) and NBA 2K's Joshua Neal (3-4) fell on the wrong side of the scoreboard dropping their weekly battles 2-1 and 2-0 respectfully to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and Dallas College - Mountview.

In group play both the COD: Vanguard 4v4 and Valorant teams dropped their weekly battles. The COD: Vanguard 4v4 fell to 1-7 on the year losing to Nassau Community College 3-0 while the (0-6) Valorant group remains searching for its' first win suffering a 2-0 loss to Northampton Community College.
