Coming off a two National Championship fall season; the Barton Community College eSports squad carried the momentum into the start of the spring portion with an opening week mark of 7-3 and second-week record of 9-2.

Guiding an 16-5 start to the spring semester, the Barton gamers will look to ride the stellar start into week three action that gets underway Monday as another 10-slate of contests await this week.

Week 1
The Call of Duty Vanguard 4v4 group started on the wrong side of the column to open the 11 slate of matchups for the Cougars falling 3-0 to Gogebic Community College.

Receiving a playoff bid in the fall, the Cougar Rocket League squad began their hopes for a spring berth producing the program's opening victory of the week later Monday night taking all three contests to Southwestern Illinois College.

Tuesday's action highlighted the start of the runback tours for the two defending National Championships as Davon Morris the Madden champ and the Rainbow 6 Siege five pack highlighted a perfect 4-0 night for Barton. Picking up where he left off Morris along with his counterparts Chance Costello and Caden Nokleby all secured 2-0 outcomes with victories over Fort Scott Community College, Central Wyoming College and Community College of Beaver respectfully. Matched up against their semifinal opponent back in the fall, the Siege pack routed Hawkeye Community College in straight maps 2-0 after needing a 2-0 rally back in the fall after dropping the opening map.

Thursday the Cougars split their pair of matches as the Call of Duty Cold War Gunfight runner-ups from the fall of Kindric Castro and Adam Hardin swept Western Technical College while the Valorant squad made its' first appearance of the season falling 2-0 to Monroe Community College.

Barton concluded the week with split results in Friday's NBA2K action with Joshua Neal routing Navarro College in 2-0 fashion while Kaleb Lininger had a tough Cougar debut falling in the final decisive game to Gogebic Community.
