The Barton Community College esports program had a bit of a setback this past week finishing with a 3-6 record in week six action.

Approaching the final three weeks of the regular season the Cougars sit at 24-28 as a squad.

Eighth ranked Davon Morris notched the first victory of the week for the Cougars earning a sweep in Madden 21 over Case Western Reserve University. Following a week two loss to Santa Fe College, Morris has heated up sweeping his last two contests in dominating fashion.

Following perfect back-to-back weeks as a team in NBA2K, Barton had a hiccup as the trio of gamers finished with a 1-2 mark as a team. The Cougars lone victory in 2K came from freshman Anthony Twiggs narrowly defeat his opponent from Gogebic Community College 2-1. Since dropping his week one matchup to Westmoreland County, Twiggs has rattled off four straight victories.

Barton's final victory of the week came in Friday's COD: Cold War matchup as the No. 3 ranked Cougars rolled in dominating fashion over Hinds Community College 2-0. Needing just one win to secure a postseason berth, the victory sets up a pivotal top-three matchup with top ranked Dawson Community College.

In solo-play, Adam Hardin posted an 18th place finish in Fortnite improving his previous weeks' outing by 170 positions.

As the push for the postseason continues, Barton will return to action this week with 10 more team matchups and an individual matchup in Fortnite.
