Barton eSports wraps up NJCAAE fall postseason; Castro and Hardin notch NJCAAE COD Gunfight runner-up finish #GoBarton

The Barton eSports program fell just short of its bid for a fourth NJCAAE National Championship as the fall semester ended this past week.

Finishing the seven-week regular season and two-week playoff schedule the Cougars boosted a 43-26 mark between the eight groups.

Adam Hardin and Kindric Castro had their hopes of making it back-to-back semesters as Call of Duty Gunfight 2v2 National Champions come up short falling to a stout Iowa Western Community College team 3-1 capping their fall campaign 6-3. Reaching the Championship for the third straight semester, the duo concluded their COD: Gunfight 2v2 career with an impressive 32-4 record over two-and-half years of competition.

Falling just short of the NJCAA Championship, Madden-22 gamer Caden Nokleby dropped his semifinal match to Kingsborough Community College 3-1 falling in all three contests by one score possessions concluding his freshman fall campaign at 8-1.

The Rainbow 6 Siege squad had their National Championship tilt against St. Clair Community College put on hold due to updates within the gaming software. The Cougars and Skippers will meet January 17 to decide the fall NJCAAE champion as Barton got the better end in week five of the regular season securing a winner take all 2-1 result over St. Cloud State.
