The Barton Community College eSports program pushed a trio of teams past the opening week of the NJCAAE Playoffs with the Rainbow 6 Siege and Call of Duty Gunfight 2v2 teams advancing into the National Championships.

Concluding the week with a 5-6 mark between seven different teams fielded, the Cougars will look to add to the trophy case in a pair of Championship tilts and a potential third berth clinched succeeding this week's Madden 22 semifinals.

Receiving an opening round bye had no carry over for Madden 22 gamer Caden Nokleby as the freshman dispatched his Dallas College Eastfield opponent in straight fashion 3-0 securing Barton's fifth straight semifinal appearance. Nokleby will look to secure the third straight Championship appearance in the team's history taking on Kingsborough Community College in Tuesday's semifinal appearance.

Just hours later the Rainbow 6 Siege squad secured their third straight National Championship appearance claiming a pair of clean 2-0 map sweeps over Johnston Community College and Hutchinson Community College to stay unbeaten on the season. The six pack will look to defend their past fall National Title Tuesday against St. Clair County Community College in which the Cougars won the regular season battle back in November 2-1.

After a rough Wednesday having Frank Wilkens upset bids fall short 3-2 in Super Smash Brothers to Lincoln Land Community College and Jefferson State Community College, Barton's Call of Duty Gunfight 2v2 of Kindric Castro and Adam Hardin fashioned the second title berth Thursday evening. Steamrolling through the quarterfinals in a 3-0 result against Heartland Community College, the duo resumed the terrorizing just hours later in the semifinals with a second 3-0 smashing over Herkimer Community College. Returning to the title game for the third straight time, Castro and Hardin will look to avenge its' earlier season loss to Iowa Western Community College in hopes of a second crown for the duo.

Other results over the week were the Rocket League team dropping both their contests 3-2 to Mineral Area College and 3-0 to Lackawanna ending the year at 3-6 while both Mario Kart participants Hardin and Harley Headley capped the season at 5-3 falling 4-1 to Southwestern Oklahoma Community College and 4-2 to Southern State Community College respectfully.
