Barton eSports opens season with 7-3 week #GoBarton

Looking to build of its' solid inaugural season, the Barton Community College esports squad launched out of the gates with an impressive 7-3 week to kick off the 2021 fall campaign.

The Cougar four pack in Call of Duty Cold War kicked off their season dispatching Central Wyoming College in straight matches 3-0.

Fresh off his third place finish a season ago in Madden, Davon Morris started his Madden 22 campaign with a clean 2-0 sweep over John Wood Community College. Teammate Chance Costello opened his Cougar debut blitzing his Iowa Central Community College opponent 2-0 in Madden as Barton concluded the Madden week with a perfect 4-0 record.

In Super Smash Brothers Trent Keffer and Nicholas Kohman rolled to 3-0 victories in their matches against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and Hostos Community College.

Joshua Neal capped the final victory of the week for the Cougar gamers earning a 2-0 NBA2K match victory over Bryant & Stratton College (WI).

Rocket League and Rainbow 6 Siege teams dropped their matches to St. Clair County Community College falling 3-0 and 2-1 respectively while Overwatch dropped its contest to Howard Community College 3-1.

Barton returns to action Monday to kick-off the week 2 action featuring 10 different matchups in a variety of eight gaming categories.
