Connor Scott of the Barton Community College baseball team has been named the week seven KJCCC Division I Co-Player of the Week with Johnson County's Wyatt Morgan.
Scott had multi-hit games in four of the Cougars' six contests, batting .450 with a 1.050 slugging percentage with six extra base connections and 11 runs batted in during his nine hits.
The Cougars went 3-3 on the week to move their season record to 13-4 and 1-4 in conference play. Barton will look to rebound this weekend against Colby, who were picked to finish third in the Jayhawk West. The four-game set begins on Thursday in Colby with the back-end slated for Saturday on the Cougars' home turf. A 1:00 p.m. first pitch is scheduled at both locations.
Scott's honor is the second for the squad on the season as Jordan Ellison led the Barton offense in week four.
