The Barton Community College baseball team and Cloud County Community College battled to another doubleheader split Sunday at Lawson-Biggs Field. Committing five errors resulting in five unearned runs in Saturday's first game, again the Cougars had a game to forget giving up four unearned on three errors in losing game one 10-4. Regrouping for game two, Barton pounded out a season high fourteen hits in running away with a game shortened seven inning 15-2 victory. The split takes Barton to 7-8 on the season and 2-2 in the Jayhawk West while Cloud County goes to 7-12 on the season and 3-5 in the Jayhawk West. Due to earlier postponement of a weekend conference series at Colby Community College due to the weather conditions, Barton has restructured its mid-week schedule canceling non-conference games. In place of, Barton will travel to Colby on Wednesday to make-up up two of the four postposed games with a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader.
