It wasn't the start to the conference season the Barton Community College baseball team was looking for but the Cougars regrouped to split Saturday's doubleheader with Cloud County Community College.  Committing five errors resulting in five unearned runs, Barton dropped game one 8-2 but behind solid pitching and better defense prevailed in the nightcap 4-2.  The Cougars move to 6-7 on the season while Cloud County goes to 6-11 on the season and 2-4 in the Jayhawk West.  The two teams will return to Lawson-Biggs field for another doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
