The Barton Community College baseball team had its 2014 season come to an end Saturday as host Coffeyville Community College took the best of three series with a consecutive wins. The East's third seeded Ravens scored three in the first inning to assume early command for a 8-2 win then ended the West's sixth seeded Cougars hopes in game two with a six-run sixth in route to an 11-1 victory. Having won six straight entering the postseason contest, Barton sees their season come to an abrupt end, finishing at 32-25-1. Coffeyville improves to 36-21 and advances to the Region VI Super-Regional beginning next Friday in Wichita, Kansas.
