Needing to at least take 3-of-4 in the weekend series, the Barton Community College baseball team instead lost the last three games of the four game series at Lawson-Biggs Field as Garden City Community College took the series.  Barton won game one 2-1 held Friday evening at Lawson-Biggs Field but dropped the second game of the doubleheader battling back from an eight run deficit to fall 11-10.  Saturday the Cougars found themselves again in deep holes taking a 16-7 loss in game one then falling 14-10 in the nightcap.  The weekend dropped Barton's record to 24-20-1 on the season and 14-10 in conference play while Garden City improves to 27-18 overall and 17-11 in Jayhawk play.  The Cougars will step outside conference play for Tuesday doubleheader at Hesston College before beginning a three-day four-game conference series at No. 11 Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.
