First year at Barton:

Ty made 27 starts for Barton in 33 appearances. He finished second on the team with a .363 batting average. 

High School/Club:

Ty attended Maize High School where he was a 3 year starter and letter winner. He hit .390, driving in 29 runs, with 1 homerun his senior season. He also swiped 8 bases. In his junior campaign, he hit .400 with 20 RBI's, 10 stolen bases, and a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000, never making an error at second base. He helped Maize to three straight league and regional titles, winning the state championship in 2003 and 2005. In 2004, Ty was named 1st team All-League and 1st team All-State. As a senior, he earned 2nd team All-League and 2nd team All-State honors.
