Anthony played in 48 games with Barton, starting 46 of them. He hit a solid .296 from the plate and knocked in 22 runs. Anthony was also a perfect 2 for 2 on stolen base attempts.

Anthony attended Lawrence Free State High School where he was a two year starter and three year letter winner at second base.
