First year at Barton:

Brent played in 53 games for Barton, making 52 starts. He hit .335 with 1 homerun and 26 batted in. Brent collected 54 total hits and also scored 46 runs. He was also a perfect 7 for 7 on stolen base attempts. 

High School/Club:

Brent was a three-year letter winner and two-year starter attending Great Bend High School. During his senior season he batted .514 and swiped 14 bases. As a junior Brent batted .311. He helped his team to WAC Championships during the 2003 and 2004 seasons and a runner up finish in the 5A State Tournament in 2003. Brent also batted .445 for the Great Bend Chiefs summer team.
