Freshman season at Barton:

As a freshman, Edlefsen played in 33 games and started 31 for Barton County while batting .341. Edlefsen also finished the season with 20 RBI’s. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and has signed to play for the University of Nebraska.

High School/Club:

Steve hit .392 as senior while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 37 RBI's. He was a 2-year starter and 2-year letter winner at Bloomington Jefferson High School in Minnesota. Helping his team to a State runner-up finish and Edlefsen received All State Honorable mention, All Conference, Legion MVP, and State Tournament MVP selections.
