Freshman season at Barton 

McDaid pitched 33 innings for the Cougars his freshman season. He finished the season with a 3-2 record and a 7.83 ERA.

High School/Club

 McDaid, form Ontario, Canada, attended Eastview High School. He batted .385, hit 5 homers and drove in 50 RBI’s. Derek also stole 5 bases. As a pitcher Derek had 2.03 ERA and was a 4-year starter and 4-year letter winner. Was a member of C.E.B.C Team Canada.
