Giambrone signs to play baseball for Barton County
Andrew Giambrone signed a letter-of-intent to play baseball for Barton County Community College next season. Giambrone is a senior at Manhattan High School.

As a junior for the Indians, Giambrone hit .375 in 20 games. He scored 18 times while pitching and playing shortstop for Manhattan. The Indians went 14-8 last season. On the mound, Giambrone was a tough-luck 0-3 with a 2.40 ERA. He struck out 14 batters in 15 innings, allowing just 9 hits and four earned runs. Manhattan's season ended just one game short of the 6A state tournament. Giambrone earned 2nd team All I-70 honors.

During the summer, Giambrone Carsen 17ers American Legion team. Giambrone hit .388 for the 17ers, scoring 58 times and driving in 41 runs. He committed just 3 errors from his shortstop position. He also had team-high 16 stolen bases. On the mound for Carsen, Giambrone went 4-3 with a 3.76 ERA, striking out 43 batters in 41 innings. Carsen went 40-16 during the summer.

Giambrone has been an honor roll student throughout high school with a 3.5 gpa.
