Small signs to play baseball for Barton County
Andrew Small signed a letter-of-intent to play baseball for Barton County Community College next season. Small is a senior at St. Cecilia's High School in Hastings Neb.

St. Cecilia's does not offer baseball, but Small played summer baseball for three different teams in the West Division of the Cornhusker League. During the past three summers, he has hit over .400 for his Legion teams.

Last summer, Small hit .416 with 48 RBIs and was 23-for-25 in stolen base attempts.

Small was a four-year starter in football, where he earned an All-State selection. He also participated in track and basketball during his high school career.

Small has been on the honor roll for four years, has a 3.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
