High School/Club 

Esfeld was a two-year letterman for Great Bend High School. He hit .302 and 1 HR his senior season. Hit .312 and an 8-3 record with a 2.69 ERA for the Great Bend Chiefs this summer. Esfeld graduated with a 3.5 GPA.
