Broeckelman takes over Barton Wrestling program #GoBarton

The Barton Community College Board of Trustees approved the hiring Tuesday of Nathan Broeckelman as the third Head Coach in Barton Wrestling history.

Broeckelman takes the place of Bradley Little, making the move into collegiate coaching following a successful eight seasons at Great Bend High School with prior stints at Greeley County High School and Manhattan High School.

Among his many Great Bend accomplishments of leading the Panther girls and boys program have been a state runner-up on the girls side with the boys finishing in the top five at state three of the past four years to go along with another sixth place finish.

A two-time state champion in his own high school career in Norton, the past eight years at GBHS Broeckelman has coached five to state championships and forty-one state medalists.

From his success as a wrestler through his coaching success, Broeckelman is also a steward of the sport with his involvement and leadership within the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association among instruction and organization of youth wrestling.
