Josha Schmitt is in her second season as assistant coach for Cougar Volleyball.   A Great Bend native, Schmitt brings five years of experience from NCAA Division I Volleyball, as well as, three years of coaching at the high school level.

Schmitt served as team manager under former Barton Head Coach and now University of Kansas Volleyball Head Coach Ray Bechard for five years, graduating from KU with a bachelor’s degree in History and years of experience within a national level volleyball program.

After KU and prior to Barton, Schmitt spent three seasons at Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas, as a Para educator and coach for the Firebird volleyball team.
