Barton's Testoni snags national honor and third KJCCC weekly volleyball award #GoBarton

Barton Volleyball Mylena Testoni KJCCC and NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week

Mylena Testoni of the Barton Community College volleyball team snagged her third and 10th career KJCCC weekly award while also earning her first national distinction of her career as the week nine NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week.

The all-around player led the Cougars' 2-1 week with 6.10 digs per set and was involved in five blocks. Testoni began the week with a season high 26 digs at Colby before posting her 15th double-double of the year with 22 digs and 10 kills on a .500 attack versus Dodge City.

The sophomore ended her week leading the backline with 13 digs and three blocks in a short match Saturday at No. 5 Butler.

Helping Barton to a 3-0 victory Wednesday night over Pratt Community College, Testoni and the Cougars' will conclude the final week of the regular season with a pair of matches on the road beginning Monday at Pratt and Wednesday at Hutchinson. Match times for each of the contests are slated for 6:30 p.m.
