Barton Volleyball players Mylena Testoni and Isabella Guedes were named Week 2 winners for the "Barton Sports Weekly Athletic Award Honors".

Mylena Testoni earned her second straight KJCCC Player of the Week and Barton Sports Weekly Athletic Award on August 31st. Testoni once again displayed stellar numbers for the Cougars helping 12th ranked Barton to a perfect 5-0 week. The sophomore closed out the weekend with a career high 20 kills, posting a plus .500 hitting percentage for the second consecitive week and recorded three double-doubles in the 16 sets played.

Isabella Guedes distributed 20-plus assists in four of the five contests within the Cougars' 6-2 offense helping Barton to a perfect 5-0 week, earning KJCCC Setter of the Week honors. The freshman tied a season high 27 assists, to go along with a season high five service aces in Friday's match against McCook Community College.

The Cougars' suffered their first lost of the season on Monday evening at Glendale Community College dropping to 8-1 on the season. Barton will have a quick turnaround in taking on Scottsdale Community College on Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m. before opening the Dalton Overstreet Invitational where they will face Eastern Arizona College at 3:00 p.m. (CT) and 16th ranked Yavapai College at 5:00 p.m. (CT). The Cougars will conclude the invitational on Saturday evening against 2nd ranked Snow College and 4th ranked Utah State Eastern.
