Barton Volleyball's Mylena Testoni wins week two 2021 KJCCC Division 1 Offensive Player of the Week

For the second consecutive week Mylena Testoni of the Barton Community College volleyball team has been named the KJCCC Division I Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

Testoni had a phenomenal weekend for Barton helping the Cougars to a 3-1 trip to the Laramie County Invitational last week. Piling up 46 kills on 75 attempts, Testoni had just six errors in a .533 attack in the four matches including a .778 attack in Barton's first game. Testoni capped Friday's action with her second double-double of the year with a career high fourteen kills and thirteen digs then concluded the four match weekend matching the fourteen kills on a .778 attack.

In week one of the season, Testoni was joined by setter Alyssa Herter and libero Hanna Miller as the Cougars' swept the awards. Miller's defensive performance also earned the NJCAA Division I Defensive Player of the Week.

Fresh off a 3-1 conference opening victory at Hutchinson Community College on Tuesday, the 6-1 Cougars head to McCook, Nebraska, for the McCook Classic. Friday's action begins at noon against Central Community College-Columbus then Eastern Wyoming College at 6:00 p.m. followed by a pair on Saturday with a noon bout against the hosts McCook Community College and a 4:00 p.m. match against Trinidad State Junior College.

The Cougars will have a short turnaround for its home opener in welcoming Pratt Community College to the Barton Gym on Monday, February 8.
