The Barton Community College volleyball team went 3-1 this weekend at the Laramie County Invitational in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The Cougars won both their matches Friday at Cheyenne East High School, sweeping North Platte Community College 25-16, 25-22, and 25-17 before prevailing in four sets over Northwest College 25-20, 25-23, 26-28, and 25-16.

Barton took on the host Laramie County Community College in the crack of dawn match Saturday in the Golden Eagles' Storey Gym, dropping straight sets 25-17, 25-15, and 25-21.  The Cougars rebounded four hours later from their first loss of the season in dispatching Central Community College in straight sets 25-15, 25-15, and 25-17. 

Barton (5-1) heads to the Hutchinson Sports Arena on Tuesday for a 6:00 p.m. conference opening match at Hutchinson Community College (3-2).
