The Barton Community College volleyball season came to an end three hours from home Tuesday as the Cougars' comeback fell short in a fifth set defeat at Colby Community College. The fifth seeded Cougars took the first set 26-24 before the fourth seeded Trojans took the next two by identical 25-20 set scores. Closing out the fourth on a 4-0 run, Barton forced the deciding set with a 25-21 win and led through most of the fifth but couldn't hold off a 4-0 Trojan charge down the stretch in defending the Community Building with a 15-12 victory. The loss ended Barton's season at 18-18 while Colby improves to 23-10 advancing to the Region VI Final Four held Sunday in Liberal, Kansas.
