The Barton Community College volleyball program has added a former Cougar to its coaching staff, as Taylor Littleton was approved Tuesday by the College's Board of Trustees.

"Taylor's addition brings a dynamic insight to the program having played at multiple levels including the Jayhawk Conference," said Head Coach Brandon Stephenson. "Having been on the last Barton volleyball team to make the national tournament, Taylor understands the grind of a tough schedule and what it takes to have success at this level which will be invaluable in coaching our athletes."

A 2013 Barton graduate, Littleton's two-year stint included helping the Cougars to the 2011 Region VI Championship and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.  Earning All-Academic honors her freshman season, Littleton's sophomore season was decorated as a 2nd Team All-KJCCC/All-Region VI selection while ranking 33rd in nation in blocks.

Littleton earned KJCCC Player of the Week honors in her sophomore campaign by hitting .471 with seven blocks against Pratt Community College followed by a .444 attack and six block effort against Cloud County Community College.

Signing to play Division I volleyball at Mississippi Valley State University for the 2013 season, Littleton transferred back to Kansas completing her career at NAIA division level Ottawa University.  Receiving All-KCAC honors, Littleton piled up 199 kills and 67 blocks during her senior year including a career high 18 kills against Sterling College and six blocks coming against Friends University.

A 2011 graduate of Derby High School in Derby, KS, Littleton was a two-time All-AVCTL selection for the Panthers.
