Cougars falter late, drop three setter to Seward County

The Barton Community College volleyball team built momentum too little too late Monday night at the Barton Gym dropping consecutive sets to Seward County Community College.  The Saints rallied to take the first set 25-20 before hammering Barton 25-12 in the second set topped with another rally for the match clinching 25-21 third.  The Cougars fall to 2-6 in conference play and 5-18 on the season while Seward County keeps pace in the Jayhawk West at 7-1 winning their ninth straight match improving to 16-7 on the season.   Barton's next match and opportunity to snap its fifteen match slide will come Wednesday in a 6:30 p.m. first serve at Garden City Community College.

Olivia Naccarato again led the Cougars' attack getting nine of Barton's twenty-five kills on the night on a .277 attack percentage with Mallory McQueen finishing with twenty-three assists while Lydia Konrade led with eleven digs.
