Nia Baker of the Barton Community College women's soccer team has been named the week six KJCCC Division I Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.

Baker was perfect between the pipes in front of a stout defensive line producing two road shutout victories for the Cougars this week stopping all four shots faced in her 135 minutes of action.

The sophomore keeper sustained her hot stretch on Wednesday rejecting all four shots faced in helping Barton to a 1-0 upset victory over #14 Cowley College.

Baker becomes Barton's second player of the week selection on the year joining Annika Gerdau's week one nod.

The Cougars will have a week off from competition before making its' second trip around the Jayhawk Conference beginning on Wednesday evening in Hutchinson with a 6:00 p.m. kick-off at the Salthawk Sports Complex.
