Barton's Stinson and Baker earn KJCCC women's soccer awards #GoBarton

Kadin Stinson and Nia Baker of the Barton Community College women's soccer team have been named the KJCCC's week three recipients of the player and goalkeeper honors.

Stinson scored a pair of goals in each of Barton's contest last week helping the Cougars remain unbeaten on the season at 5-0-1. Netting both of the game winners, in last Saturday's 3-2 win over Johnson County Stinson scored both the first and last net rattlers delivering the clutch difference maker with 4:57 remaining.

Baker stayed unbeaten in goal with the pair of wins, turning back six shots combined in the 5-1 win at Dodge City and last Saturday's win over Johnson. The honor marks the second of the season for Baker after winning the opening week's award.

More recently Barton split its pair of games this week, winning 2-0 at Garden City on Monday before dropping a 1-0 decision at No. 17 Cowley College.

The Cougars now stand 5-1-1 in conference play and 6-1-1 on the season heading into Saturday's 2:00 p.m. kick-off in welcoming former Cougar Head Coach Shawn Uhlenhake and his 9th ranked Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Community College to the Cougar Soccer Complex.
