Despite cold and windy temperatures in Garden City late Monday afternoon, the Barton Community College women's soccer team netted a goal each half for a 2-0 victory at Garden City Community College.

The win improves the Cougars to 5-0-1 in conference play and 6-0-1 on the season while Garden City slips to 1-4 in league and 1-5 overall.

Barton put a goal on the board each half, Dahien Cabrera scoring from Francesca Martella's assist putting the Cougars up 1-0 at the break before Annika Gerdau tacked on another with an unassisted net rattler in the second frame to close out the scoring.

Receiving votes in the latest national poll, the Cougars travel to Arkansas City on Wednesday for its next contest, taking on No. 17 ranked Cowley College in a 5:30 p.m. kick, before hosting 9th ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College for a 2:00 p.m. kick on Saturday.
