Kadin Stinson sent home the game-winning goal late in the second half Friday afternoon giving the Barton Community College women's soccer team a season opening 1-0 road victory over Coffeyville Community College.

Opening conference play at 1-0, the Cougars will look to carry the momentum into its next matchup on Monday in a key early season Jayhawk West 12:00 p.m. kick-off hosting the 0-1 Blue Dragons of Hutchinson Community College at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

Stinson's game winner came with 14:25 left on the clock, launching a 25-yard blast over the outstretched Red Ravens keeper for her sixth career goal and fourth career game winner.

Freshman Nia Baker notched her first collegiate victory and shutout while making her first start in net for the Cougars.
