Three unanswered goals sent the Barton Community College women's soccer team to its first loss of the season falling to Seminole State College 4-2 Saturday in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Seminole State improves to 4-0 on the season while dropping Barton to 1-1 on the year. The Lady Cougars will return to the field on Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. kick at Rose State College.

For the second straight game the combination of Laura Maria and Larissa Fagundes gave the Lady Cougars an early lead. With less than two minutes off the clock, Maria's through ball for the freshman's fifth assist of the year set up Fagundes' second net shaker of the sophomore's season.

One minute later a Seminole executed corner kick netted the equalizer with the go ahead goal following in the next forty seconds.

With the speed out front causing havoc on the Barton defense, Seminole scored the eventual game winner with 37 minutes still on the clock.

Barton cut the margin in half with Maria and fellow freshman Rayssa Neres collecting collegiate firsts, Maria being on the receiving end of Neres' pass.

Seminole put the game away on Nakayenze Yuday's second goal of the half as the teams battled to a scoreless second frame of action.
