Lady Cougar soccer coasts to 4-0 win at Pratt #GoBarton

It took the Barton Community College women's soccer team less than thirty minutes before calling off the dogs Saturday in Pratt as the Lady Cougars put four on the board in coasting to the 4-0 victory over Pratt Community College. The conference and region victory bumps the Lady Cougars into to fourth place tie at 2-3-1 in the Jayhawk and 3-3-1 in Region VI play with a 4-4-2 record on the season while Pratt sinks to 1-4, 1-5, and 1-8 on the year. Barton's next action comes on Wednesday in hosting undefeated No. 16 Hutchinson Community College in a 3:00 p.m. kick at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

Jessica Simental got the Cougars on the board twenty minutes into the contest depositing Larissa Fagundes' third assist of the year inside far post for the El Paso, Texan's third net shaker of the year.

Fagundes put the next two on the board, the first coming less than three minutes later putting away Ariadna Ramirez first collegiate assist to the top-90 far post. The Brazian freshman tacked on her eighth goal of the year ninety seconds later burying a penalty kick giving Barton a quick strike three goal lead with 20:31 left of the first half clock.

Hays freshman Sydney Sulzman closed out the game scoring five minutes later striking near post for her second of the season.

Utilizing the full bench the rest of the game, Head Coach Ousmane Camara saw his Lady Cougars complete a solid performance in outshooting the Beavers 29-7 with twenty-three shots on frame while Barton net tenders Reyna Gonzalez and Raquelle Hardin combined for six saves in keeping the net clean.
