The Barton Community College women's soccer team had their season come to a crashing end Saturday in Overland Park, Kansas, as the Lady Cougars were outmatched 7-0 by Johnson County Community College in the first round of the Region VI playoffs. Battling scoreless through the first twenty-five minutes, the Cavaliers put two on the board within six minutes of each other then added two more within a minute apart late in the first half in building a 4-0 intermission break, sealing any hope of a Barton comeback tacking on two early second half goals. The loss concludes the sixth seeded Lady Cougars' season at 9-6-1 while third seeded Johnson County improves to 11-5-1 advancing to Thursday's 6:00 p.m. semifinal game.
